YouTube turns 7 next week

Reuters unwraps early present with compilation of favorite YouTube clips/memes

Next Monday (April 23) marks the seventh anniversary of the first clip uploaded to YouTube: Me at the Zoo, which has accumulated more than 7 million views, far short of other clips in the site's 7-year-history.

To help honor the site's birthday, ReutersTV has compiled this compilation clip, showcasing some of the funniest and most memorable videos that have appeared on the site, including Nyan Cat, "Don't Taze Me Bro" and "Leave Brittany Alone!" among other sorts of baby and cat videos. Enjoy!

In case you haven't seen it, here's the "Me at the Zoo" clip. Not very riveting, but hey, it was the first one!

If you're looking for the next 19 videos that were uploaded, here's a compilation of "The 20 oldest videos on YouTube", which didn't get much better in terms of quality. Sure, it took some time and creativity before people figured out what to do on this site.
