Physics in space: fun with thin film in zero gravity

It's not all fun and games on the International Space Station

Earlier today I posted an article about NASA astronaut Don Pettit was promoting the new Angry Birds space game while hanging out on the International Space Station, but luckily he does other work, too. NASA today posted a new video in their "Science off the Sphere" program, a partnership with the American Physical Society that shows different science experiments done in space. Today's segment is on Thin Film Physics, and it's fun to see how a thin film of water reacts in zero gravity.

This is part three of their series; you can watch Part One and Part Two at the Physics Central website.
