Angry Birds and Facebook: a dream team or social nightmare?

Annoying/addicting mobile game comes to annoying/addicting social media site

Rovio, makers of the Angry Birds video game series that ties up your smartphone or tablet (or, if you don't play, the game that your kids steal your phone to play), has announced it will be soon coming to Facebook. Here's the promotional teaser video:

The game hits the world on Valentine's Day, Feb. 14th, so you now have an excuse to forget getting your sweetie something nice because you'll be playing the game on Facebook. Hopefully the game won't follow the Zynga social gaming concepts found on games like Farmville and Mafia Wars, where you constantly have to ask other friends for things in order to advance more quickly in the game. Because I don't know if I can handle the "John Smith needs a White Bomber Bird" request in my news feed.
