1984 video on microprocessors shows early mobile phones in action

Interesting explainer on microchips as well as '80s tech

The AT&T Tech Archives are the gift that keeps on giving. After last week's video showcasing the Infoquest center, the team over there are adding new videos based on those shown at the exhibit. This 10-minute video shows a lot about how microchips and microprocessors are developed (including a cool part where engineers would lay out their designs on a giant, data-center-like floor to check for errors), but a really interesting part is near the end of the video (at around the 8:03 mark), in which they talk about microprocessors in telecommunications, by showing an example of an early mobile phone (or "car phones" as they were called).
