Star Wars Episode I 3D trailer released

Jar Jar Binks totally in your face

Here's a web version of the 3D version of Star Wars: Episode I, The Phantom Menace. The trailer was originally shown in theaters during 3D screenings of The Three Musketeers, but most of you probably didn't go see that film, so this trailer may be new to you. The movie is set for release on Feb. 10, 2012.

Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace 3D... by ClevverMovies

Current plans for the 3D re-releases means one 3D movie per year, in the episodic order, which means 2013 will get Episode II, 2014 will see Episode III, etc. Fans of the original Star Wars (Episode IV) will have to wait until 2015, and we won't see 3D Ewoks until 2017 (maybe 3D will be replaced with 4D at that point, or smell-o-vision, or direct embedding into our brains).

I could get snarkier, but I have a son who is really, really starting to get into Star Wars now (he's 4.5), so I'm sure when February rolls around we'll be in line, even if it means enduring Jar Jar Binks in 3D.
