How Nike made its Back to the Future sneakers

Video offers sneak peek at how they created the future shoes


The folks at Nike have offered some follow-up videos to their "Back to the Future" themed Nike Air Mag sneakers - you may recall that Nike created 1,500 sneakers and auctioned them off to raise money for the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research (some reports say the auction raised $5.6 million).

The first video offers a behind-the-scene look at how Nike made the sneakers for the original movie, and then how they got involved in this year's project:

In this second video, the company talks about how it built and designed the self-drying jacket seen in the movie:
