Space optimism at its finest

Anytime you can see a video from the '70s or earlier in which someone was predicting the future is always golden. In this video, we see NASA scientists discussing the future of space colonization. They figured that by the year 2000, we'd have people living in space in a self-sufficient colony of 10,000 people.

Ah, optimism. It's like riding Spaceship Earth at EPCOT Center.
