Using Kinect as virtual fitting room

Russian video shows how augmented reality and Microsoft's Kinect lets women try on clothes without trying them on

It's amazing to see all of the different things that people are doing with the Kinect, originally designed by Microsoft to be used with their Xbox 360 video game console for motion control. The latest cool thing comes via this video in Russia, in which a company is using Kinect and augmented reality to create a virtual fitting room for women in a department store. Instead of dragging a bunch of clothes into a real dressing room, women can see what they will look like virtually.

Microsoft needs to ride this winner device and technology and start including it in more products as fast as they can.
