We all knew Xbox Live would get a makeover with Windows Phone 7 so close to launch, but here's the breakdown:
Microsoft's Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb reports that among many cosmetic changes (like a condensed message/friend request/chat view), tomorrow's update enables the PC-to-phone web gaming for Windows Phone 7 and Xbox.com users. It's not the real time multiplayer for console-to-phones that got the web buzzing back in August, but it's a step in that direction.
Among those other cosmetic changes are the ability to edit and preview avatar items before purchase, an improves search and browse feature for Marketplace, and "improved notification of your account subscription." If you're not sure what that might look like, you can sit tight until tomorrow (October 20), or take a look at these screenshots Major Nelson took of the new site.
