Epic tennis match overloads high-tech scoreboard


Tennis fans around the world thrilled to the longest-ever professional tennis match at Wimbledon last week, with John Isner and Nicolas Mahut playing 11 hours over 3 days before Isner finally emerged triumphant. But partway through, the IBM-supplied scoreboard, which could only handle digits up to 47, failed, and the umpire had to start announcing the score.
