Verizon chief spills the beans on upcoming Android tablet

Google is collaborating with Verizon Wireless on an Android-based tablet computer that will compete with the Apple iPad, according to a report on the Wall Street Journal web site.

The Journal got the goods in an interview with Verizon Wireless Chief Executive Lowell McAdam, who said Verizon is "looking at all the things Google has in its archives that we could put on a tablet to make it a great experience."

Details on size, price and ship date were not revealed.
