Teenage girl takes texting crown

15-year-old Kate Moore just got her first cell phone eight months ago, but she quickly became proficient enough at text-messaging to take the LG U.S. National Texting Championship by storm. Moore had plenty of practice, racking up over 14,000 text messages a month leading up to the contest. None of the finalists were older than 22, and Moore defeated a 14-year-old in the final round to claim the $50,000 prize.
