Annals of science: Mexican researchers turn tequila into diamonds


Mexico may not have many diamond mines, but it does have tequila in abundance. That's why it's big news that Mexican scientists have figured out how to transform that national liquor into the superhard gem. The diamonds produced will be too small for use in jewelry, but expect to see them in diamond film that has a number of industrial uses. Keep reading.
