Those of you who have played too much Wii will enjoy this fine acoustic love song inspired by Mario Kart. If you're more old school, though, you will probably enjoy this duet by indie rock darlings John Darnielle and Kaki King, Thank You Mario But Our Princess Is In Another Castle.
A survey released Sunday by the Pew Internet & American Life Project finds that more than half of American adults play video games and 20% play just about every day. Oh and there are more shocking stats too:
- 81% of respondents aged 18-29 said they play games, compared with 23% of people 65 and older
- 57% of respondents who went to at least some college said they play games, compared with 51% of high school graduates and just 40% of people who have less than a high school education
- 66% of parents or guardians of children under 17 play video games, far more than the 47% of adults without kids that age. But only 31% of parents with teenagers play video games with their kids.
