University bans <3, 'monkey' suffix


Lake Superior State is well known for issuing its annual list of words it decrees affronts to the English language. This year there's an unword on the list -- the combination of the less-than symbol and the number three used on the Internet to form a heart. Take that, online romantics! Also banned is the use of "monkey" as a suffix.
