Motorola, Sun in 10-year wireless pact

Motorola Inc. and Sun Microsystems Inc. today signed a 10-year technology agreement worth up to $1 billion to expand the availability of wireless networks. Under theaccord, Motorola's Network Solutions Sector and hardware platforms from Motorola Computer Group will be joined with Sun software. The wireless networks will be IP-based, and the companies expect to create what they called an "unprecedented level" of wireless availability.
