Report: Muni Wi-Fi to cost $150,000 per square mile

Wi-Fi Planet – According to a report issued by JupiterResearch, municipalities looking to build their own city-wide Wi-Fi networks may end up paying a pretty penny. The report claims that such networks will on average cost $150,000 per square mile of coverage over five years - and may not recoup those costs even if end users are charged $25 a month in fees.
