Technology Review – A three-year-old start-up is pushing a platform-independent push-to-talk application that enables users of different types of cell phones and different mobile services to communicate via the walkie-talkie model popularized by Nextel. The company, called fastmobile, is selling the application, dubbed fastchat, to service providers.
