ActiveSky Inc. released a wireless media player for the Pocket PC 2002 operating system, providing the ability to use interactive multimedia objects composed of text, graphics, animation, audio and video.
Meanwhile, Sybase Inc. mobile and wireless subsidiary iAnywhere Solutions said it would work with Casio Inc. to develop mobile business tools for enterprises. Go America, Inc., will provide wireless Internet access service for users of Cassiopeia Pocket PC devices.
In the gaming sector, Ziosoft Inc. announced it will launch two Electronic Arts Inc. games for the Pocket PC 2002 platform in October. SimCity 2000 and Ultima Underworld will be available in retail outlets and for download from Zio's Web site, http://www.ziosoft.com.
Moreover, Vindigo Inc. said it will support Pocket PC 2002 in its electronic city guide. Finally, Synchrologic Inc. demonstrated its iMobile Suite mobile device management software on Pocket PC 2002 devices from Hewlett-Packard Co. and Casio.
