Brinks Inc., a provider of physical security services for homes and businesses, last week joined the Internet security services arena. Under an alliance with Hyperon, the Brinks Internet Security division will monitor data and network assets on corporate nets from a data center in Dallas. Brinks' technicians install Hyperon's intrusion-detection systems on internal nets to monitor and report problems to the center. The service starts at US$11,000.
