He has tracked the networking industry for several years for ZD Market Intelligence, Computer Intelligence and InfoCorp. Stan has written 28 books about networking and communications including Understanding Local Area Networks, Linking LANs, Understanding ATM, Understanding Network Management, and Data Communications For Business. Schatt's industry experience includes stints with telecommunications companies (AT&T), mainframe computer companies (Honeywell), and networking companies (MicroAge). He also has worked as a network analyst for a Fortune 100 company. Stan has served as the Chairman of the Telecommunications Management department at DeVry Institute of Technology. He is a frequent speaker at industry trade shows and has served as a columnist for ComputerWorld.
