I suspect there will be a lot of happy PCLinuxOS users out there today. I'll snag a copy for a possible review on Desktop Linux Reviews. It's been a while since I looked at it, so it should be fun to give it another whirl with this new release.
PCLinuxOS 2013.12 MATE Screenshot Tour
Speaking of PCLinuxOS 2013.12, The Coding Studio has a screenshot tour of the MATE version.
PCLinuxOS is an English only live CD initially based on Mandrake Linux that runs entirely from a bootable CD. Data on the CD is decompressed on the fly, allowing up to 2GB of programs on one CD including a complete X server, KDE desktop, OpenOffice.org and many more applications all ready to use. In addition to the live CD, you can also install PCLinuxOS to your hard drive with an easy-to-use livecd-installer. Additional applications can be added or removed from your hard drive using a friendly apt-get front end via Synaptic.More at The Coding StudioHat Tip: Lxer
The MATE version looks pretty sweet. I may have to opt for that one instead of KDE if I do a review. I like the overall style and flavor of what I saw in the screenshots. Check it out if you aren't sure if KDE or MATE is right for you. You may decide in favor of MATE after seeing what it looks like.

The Cinnamon version of Linux Mint 16 was quite good, so I'm looking forward to using the KDE version. I'll hold off until the final release though, I'm sure there will probably be a few bugs squished between the release candidate and the final.
