Watch a guy create Batman Batarang replicas

Latest from Tony Swatton features Dark Knight-style metal boomerang

It's been a few weeks since we've checked in with master swordsmith Tony Swatton and the AweMe Channel on YouTube. The channel's "Man At Arms" series has Swatton re-creating classic weaponry from your favorite TV shows and movies.

After creating Jaime Lannister's sword from Game of Thrones and the Oddjob hat from the James Bond series, the team has also recreated Finn's Golden Sword from Adventure Time and Raphael's Sais from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series.

But this week, he's going dark - as in Dark Knight, as in Batman. How does he make such wonderful toys? Watch the episode:

Officials with the channel say that Swatton's videos have achieved more than 1.7 million views in about a month - that's pretty impressive - I guess people like watching other people make things, especially swords and other weapons.

I enjoy these videos for two reasons - first, I like how Swatton gives descriptions of all of the tools he uses to create the weapons - it's like I'm in metal shop class all over again. Second, I love the end of the videos where they go out and destroy stuff with their newly made weapons. Destruction is always cool.
