Verizon dials-up a big deal [CARTOON]

AOL liked Verizon’s offer to buy the company enough to accept it - once they got done downloading it, of course

The best tech story of the week was, hands down, Verizon’s deal to buy AOL. For $4.4 billion, Verizon will get a bunch of well-known media properties, such as The Huffington Post, Engadget, and TechCrunch. It will also get, whether it wants them or not,  more than 2 million (!) people who still use AOL’s dial-up service. Hopefully, AOL’s lawyers aren’t included in that group.
