Everex is one of those names that seems as though it has been around forever. A survivor of the early PC era when there were dozens of brands that often were less than 100-percent IBM PC compatible, Everex burst onto the scene in 1983 and has been a solid presence ever since.
As HP snaps up LeftHand, DataCore extends its right
Earlier this week, HP announced that it signed a definitive agreement to acquire LeftHand Networks, a provider of storage virtualization and iSCSI storage area network (SAN) solutions. This is a big deal, because LeftHand Networks has more than 11,000 installations across 3,000 different customers. Another iSCSI vendor, DataCore is looking to capitalize on uncertainty among resellers.

It’s refreshing to regale a vendor with kudos for customer service performed expertly. The beneficiary of my admiration today is Symantec.
