Well, as the Bob Dylan song goes, “The Times They Are-A-Changin’”. That is to say, that in IT, more so than other professions, it’s possible to find a job anywhere in the world and do that job from wherever in the world you happen to be.

Former MIT CIO Marilyn Smith recently said in an interview that to enhance your IT career, you should 'exit and then return to IT.'
