LIke it or not, iOS 7 is here and it’s not going anywhere. The next time you open a pre iOS 7 app in the new Xcode 5, you’re going to be prompted to upgrade the project for iOS 7. The major difference is obviously the new UI style, and chances are some components of your app are not going to transition smoothly between iOS 6 (or less) and iOS 7. Here is a quick tip to help you on your journey.

Tweets come with all kinds of actionable elements inside them these days. Shortened URL’s, #hashtags, @replies, and the actual message body. When you’re consuming a list of tweets, it’s important to be able to parse out these elements from the plain text so that they can be made into hyperlinks and directed at the proper location.

Music streaming services have been around for some time. With the arrival of Spotify and Google Play Music in the US, the average user is able to listen to a huge amount of music on the go. There is an overlooked segment of users that these services do not cater to however, those with vast music collections stored on their hard drives. True, Google Play Music allows you to upload your tunes to their servers for streaming purposes, but that is not the best option when you're dealing with 100GB+ of music.
