Thank You For Not Sharing (TY4NS) is about your personal privacy and how it's being systematically dismantled by Facebook, Twitter, Google, geo-tracking services, wireless companies, the NSA, your boss, Chinese spies, evil Ukranian botnets, and that creepy guy in the cubicle down the hall. Along with a fair amount of whining, it will offer useful advice about what you should and shouldn't share online, why you should care, and what you can do about getting some of your privacy back before it's too late (and no, it's not too late -- yet).

It seems Microsoft’s decision to turn on the Do Not Track feature in its upcoming Internet Explorer 10 browser by default did not sit well with the online ~~tracking~~ advertising community.

Everyone who’s been in the Internet privacy game a while knows Ray Everett. I first met Ray in the late 1990s when I was writing about the scourge of email spam and Everett was the co-founder of the Coalition Against Unsolicited Commercial Email, which was working hard to pass anti-spam legislation.
