Today is the 50th anniversary of the speech given by President John F. Kennedy at Rice University, in which he challenged the country to put a man on the moon.
If you haven't watched the speech before, you can now watch it via YouTube. Yay technology!
NASA scientists ease our fears of the Sun blowing up

NASA has posted the first part of a two-part video discussing some answers to common questions about the sun and "space weather". If you've ever wondered about the difference between a solar flare and a coronal mass ejection, this is the video for you. It should also ease our fears about massive sun flare-ups destroying the planet, right? Right?

I'm doubling up on this post - giving you two opportunities to see some new robots - the first one is from ITN News, introducing the iCub, a robot that can feel and learn about objects around it, such as identifying the difference between a stuffed octopus and building blocks.
