Did you know there was a data scientist summit this year? It was in May 2011 in Las Vegas. I didn’t attend, but can you imagine hundreds of data scientists in a casino at the same time. I wonder if the casino lost money that night.

Well, as the Bob Dylan song goes, “The Times They Are-A-Changin’”. That is to say, that in IT, more so than other professions, it’s possible to find a job anywhere in the world and do that job from wherever in the world you happen to be.
An MBA or a Master's in Computer Science? It’s your call.

Two years ago I graduated from college with a degree in computer science from a great engineering school. Now that I have a couple of years work experience under my belt, I want to begin a part-time master’s program. Should I get an MBA or a Master's in Computer Science?
