Apple's new iPad 2 has been rumored for months. And every spec matches speculation (except for the retina display). But does that iPad 2 revolutionary or just bring feature parity with other tablets?

There's been years of rumors about Apple creating an iPhone nano, but do recent reports and Tim Cook's own words really indicate that Apple is working on such a device for low-end and/or prepaid market?

Consumerization of IT - good, bad, or just the way things are now?

Consumer technology has become a staple in today's workplace. Android phones, iPad, netbooks, social media - you name it. Managing these technologies is part of IT's responsibilities today and it isn't easy to say whether this shift has been overall good or bad for IT departments.

New MacBook Pros include Lightpeak, Sandy Bridge but no major surprises

Apple's new MacBook Pro models are the first Macs to feature Intel's Sandy Bridge architecture and Lightpeak connectivity (which Apple has renamed Thunderbolt). Aside from those additions, the lineup remains largely similar to previous models.

The user group is an iconic concept in computing. By creating a sense of community and support, Barnes and Noble has captured the user group ideal in its monthly Nook Night events as part of a well designed platform strategy.

Apple confirms iPad event, may also showcase new MacBooks and business services

Apple will indeed be hosting an event next week that will almost certainly focus on a next-generation iPad. New MacBook Pros are also likely to be announced as are other technologies and services.

In one day, Apple's iPad 2 went from being delayed till June to being announced next week according to rumors. At the same time, reports suggest HP is planning a surprise early release of its iPad-competing TouchPad.

Steve Jobs email attempts to mollify developers, clarifies little

In response to developer concerns about how extensively Apple will enforce its new subscription policy, Steve Jobs sent a one-line email. Unfortunately, it doesn't really give any real information about what apps will be affected by the policy.

Adobe not looking so good with Flash not shipping on the Xoom

Despite promises that Motorola's Xoom would include Flash support, it won't initially ship with the support. The reason isn't clear, but whatever the cause, it could devalue Flash and increase the use of HTML5 for web video instead.
