Mystery bidder forces Micro Focus to raise offer for Borland

Micro Focus International raised its offer for Borland Software to US$1.50 per share on Tuesday, up from $1 in early May, to counter a rival offer from a mystery bidder. It's the second time Micro Focus has had to raise its offer. Another bidder dropped out of the running last month.

Borland Software, which is in the process of being acquired by Micro Focus, continues to release products bearing the company nameplate.

Micro Focus buys Borland Software for $75 million

Micro Focus International has agreed to buy Borland Software, a developer of application lifecycle management tools, for $75 million, and in a separate deal has also agreed to buy Compuware's application testing and automated software quality business unit for $80 million in cash.

Where Google Chrome security fails: the password
I heard mention that the Chrome OS will have some sort of encryption available a la bitlocker. If it's possible to encrypt personal data using another password or key, then it may have potential for very secure data.... And Ubuntu has an 'encrypt home directory' option, perhaps google should follow suit.
