Brett Coryell is a Deputy Chief Information Office at Emory University. His responsibilities include services like networking, telephony, Peoplesoft, web and other enterprise level services that support the academic, research, and healing missions of the institution. In addition, he works closely with the Library and College to support teaching and learning in a residential setting. At Emory, his current interests are in pursuing an operational excellence strategic theme and exploring how to use analytics to improve teaching and learning.
Before joining Emory, Mr. Coryell was Executive Director and Deputy CIO at Purdue University. He has 6 years of experience as a classroom teacher and more than 15 years of IT experience in private sector, secondary education, and university settings.
Mr. Coryell holds a B.S. degree in physics from Purdue University and a M.S. in computer science from the University of Virginia.
Mr. Coryell is a member of the CIO Executive Council.
