The complexity of a business process, Tesler tells us, is like energy, it cannot be created or destroyed, it can only be moved around from one place to another.To be more accurate, Tesler's law says that for any process, there is a base level of complexity that is inherent to that process. Once you hit that base, you cannot simplify the process any more. You can only move the inherent complexity from one place to another.
Study: Companies struggle to capture business processes
A new study from the Delphi Group suggests that a significant part of the problem in tackling major IT projects lies not in the software itself, but in the business processes surrounding the deployment. Seventy percent of the respondents to an ongoing Delphi survey said they consider capturing and documenting business requirements a difficult process - and more than 60 percent said their organization has trouble implementing changes to its processes and policies.
JBoss takes on business process management
JBoss Inc. has added business process management (BPM) to its growing roster of open source software. The company has hired Tom Baeyens, the founder and lead developer of jBpm, an open source workflow engine, it announced Monday.

I heard mention that the Chrome OS will have some sort of encryption available a la bitlocker. If it's possible to encrypt personal data using another password or key, then it may have potential for very secure data.... And Ubuntu has an 'encrypt home directory' option, perhaps google should follow suit.
