High-tech companies in the San Francisco area can't get enough of Java and .Net developers. Data gurus -- data analysts, database developers and BI specialists -- are also in high demand, according to Modis. "The Bay Area is great for jobseekers because companies are hiring at all levels for skills. In general, companies looking for IT talent are seeking those with strong communication skills, the ability to be business (bottom-line) oriented and exhibit creative thinking skills."
