Bio: As Vice President of Technology Evangelism at WSO2, Chris Haddad raises visibility, awareness, and knowledge of Platform as a Service, Service Oriented Architecture, API Management, and application strategy. Chris works closely with developers, architects, and C-level executives to increase WSO2 technology adoption, improve the middleware platform, and maximize customer value. Prior to joining WSO2, Chris led research and consulting teams at Burton Group and Gartner advising Fortune 500 enterprise organizations and technology infrastructure vendors on adoption strategies, architecture, product selection, governance, and organizational alignment. His team advanced best practices in Platform as a Service, Cloud Application Architecture Patterns, Service Oriented Architecture, and application middleware. While at Burton Group and Gartner, Chris became familiar with PaaS/SOA vendor product roadmaps and strategies. Additionally, his experience with end-user goals, adoption challenges, and constraints guides his architectural recommendations. Other accomplishments include gaining Apache Axis committer status and speaking at industry events including Gartner Application Architecture Development and Integration (AADI), Gartner Symposium, Burton Group’s Catalyst Conference, Enterprise Architecture Summit, Networld+Interop, Sys-Con SOAWorld, RedHat JBossWorld, OMG Workshops, NAB Show, IASA IT Architecture Regional Conferences, and SDWest.
