Expect less Bernstein and more Boo Boo

It was a big week for Amazon-related news. First off, they launched Amazon Art, an online marketplace to, I guess, make art more accessible to us common folk. Apparently, you can buy art from over 4,500 artists, including some biggies like Warhol, Monet and Rockwell. Fortunately, none of those titans are alive to see their paintings get fewer stars from Amazon reviewers than Dogs Playing Poker.
The bigger Amazon-related news this week, though, was that CEO Jeff Bezos bought the Washington Post. In addition to my cartoon take on it, lots of other people have had fun with this story. My favorite, though, was Andy Borowitz in the New Yorker writing (tongue-in-cheek) about how Bezos admitted the purchase was a mistake and the Chinese media thinking it was true.
How do you say, “Ooops” in Mandarin?
Whatever. Have a great weekend!
P.S. If you’re looking for something geeky to watch this weekend (or next), take a peek at the latest installment of our new Geekend series.
