Mixed Environment Administration
While I was extremely happy to see this article, I am new to sys admin and want to learn more. Not many companies will take the chance on training, so I am setting up an environment at my home. I have Red Hat running on one machine, with Windows vista on another. I also have set up 3 other desktops with XP, 2000 and a version of Apple OS.I want to install an application server and also server 2003. Can anyone direct me on the best way to begin and any manuals that will assist me in teaching and troubleshooting my environment myself? I also have a couple of cisco switches and routers to play with. I just need a beginning and a little direction. Thanks.
