Facing heat over privacy worries, NebuAd said Tuesday it has a new notification and opt-out system for its targeted advertising system that critics say is invasive and spies on users.
How about an opt in mechanism, so people who want this type of surveillance can choose it?
And what protection for web sites and ecommerce businesses who don't want competitive surveillance of their communications? How do they opt in?
And finally, copyright. How does Nebuad demonstrate respect for the copyright notice that prohibits copying without the consent of the author/creator?
Thinking ahead. Why stop at web? How about email? If email, why not voip? If voip, what about phones?
If you permit opt out surveillance, you face a world where private communication rights are trampled by corporate greed.
These systems are parasitic, evil, and need to be stopped.

What adware today is not
What adware today is not invasive in some way? At http://adware.com/glossary/Adware.html adware is defined as something installed with freeware, but I when I think of adware I think the user sometimes will download adware from just clicking on a popup or sometimes from spyware.

Sidekick: The Good News & the Bad News Either way you look at it Microsoft Data Center management did not follow standards or best practices in this failure. In which case it makes me wonder more about the outsourcing of corporate data much less personal data.
