As organizations weigh what to do with Windows XP OS upgrades, the thought of leapfrogging the much-maligned Vista often comes to mind. But bypassing Vista and migrating directly from XP to the next release, Windows 7, could be a dicey proposition.

Ohhhhhhhh you mean there really ARE operating systems OTHER THAN Microskoff's?

Ohhhh and like the producers, don't just dump bug riddled shit onto the market and make the consumer work out that bugs for them?

And you are not forced to be bled dry in Microsofts never ending upgrade... Ummmmm no make that patch up..

Ahhhhhhhh Ummmmmmm never ending marketing campign?

Surely you jest?


And there is really excellent OPEN SOURCE software... with no scummy liscencing deals...

Where Google Chrome security fails: the password
I heard mention that the Chrome OS will have some sort of encryption available a la bitlocker. If it's possible to encrypt personal data using another password or key, then it may have potential for very secure data.... And Ubuntu has an 'encrypt home directory' option, perhaps google should follow suit.
