I heard mention that the Chrome OS will have some sort of encryption available a la bitlocker. If it's possible to encrypt personal data using another password or key, then it may have potential for very secure data.... And Ubuntu has an 'encrypt home directory' option, perhaps google should follow suit.

Wow, maybe you should get permission first?
I hope the author of this article has been watching NANOG recently, and seen that now NANOG will no longer be talking much about outages due to vulture-like acvities such as Robert McMillan's. Without doing ANY fact checking, McMillan is allowed to report (at best) spurious information about a major network provider (Yahoo) and a major network vendor (Juniper). I realize that McMillan is just trying to make a name for himself, but please, journalistic integrity is something to be cherished, not thrown away so lightly.Patrick
