Either way you look at it Microsoft Data Center management did not follow standards or best practices in this failure. In which case it makes me wonder more about the outsourcing of corporate data much less personal data.

Wrong. The next "2nd Tuesday" is January 13, 2009,
although an announcement that there will/won't be patches
on the 13th is due to be made on January 8, 2009.
