Either way you look at it Microsoft Data Center management did not follow standards or best practices in this failure. In which case it makes me wonder more about the outsourcing of corporate data much less personal data.

What's the point?
I have 6 year old laptop that can come out of hibernation and be usable in about 10 seconds flat, and i don't have to pay a dime. This idea is a Rube Goldberg implementation of the same functionality. If your internet usage habits require you to fully shut down as opposed to simply hibernating, then you have a serious porn problem.Configure your own machine to dual boot to either windows or [insert preferred linux distribution here.] If you really want to be able to quickly switch between the two without restarting in between, use Xen to install linux on a virtual machine.
