This is a good deal how? Multilpy the annual cost by the number of years these students will be in school starting from the 7th grade. Your looking at 150 million over 6 years and this does not include support staff. Get an Compaq Laptop for 499.00 mutliply that by the number of laptops being purchased $49.9 million. Savings before IT staff factors $100.1 million since the Compaq price is a one time fee or 83.17 over the six years. This is a bad deal for the tax payers no matter how you look at it. Befor the fanboys start up. Yes you need support staff for Apple and OS X.
