well yea.. I agree, we really should not have left the basics to begin with.How can you charge users with 15% of software cost annually for maintenance, and give the reseller a pittance of that amount, and then come with some lame improvement/upgrade to your software.
I've been a reseller for 20 years with the Mas family, and strongly recommend my clients NOT to pay the annual fee. In 7 years they can buy from new, and I get my FULL well deserved commission.
So yea get back to basics, and provide VALUE to your customers and to your users.
