August 19, 2013, 1:57 PM — When it comes to free online storage, I think we can all agree more is better. Dropbox offers a number of easy ways to bump up the default 2GB storage capacity on its free plan, including connecting social media accounts and referring new users, but this new offer is one of the most generous: 1GB of more storage by linking Mailbox for iOS to Dropbox.
Mailbox is one of the best (if not the best) Gmail clients for iPhone and iPad. It makes managing your Gmail account very intuitive, with mobile-friendly gestures and email scheduling.
Even if you don't use the app, however, just downloading and linking the app to Dropbox will net you more space for syncing and storing your files. You'll need a Gmail account and an iOS device.
- Download Mailbox here.
- Then sign into your Gmail account on Mailbox.
- Finally, link your Dropbox account in Mailbox in the Settings screen.
Check out the other ways you can get more space on Dropbox on its Get more space page.
