July 02, 2014, 1:27 PM — Microsoft Office is already here for iPad, and it's about time Microsoft released an Android tablet version. Before it's officially released later this year, though, you can try the office suite out before anyone else.
The Office Pre-Release Program site notes:
The Office team at Microsoft is looking for participants to join us in pre-release beta programs! Your feedback in these programs will be instrumental in building the best productivity software and services available. The programs will span across the full family of Microsoft Office client, server and cloud services. The family of products include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Visio, Access, Publisher and Outlook applications, as well as the Exchange, SharePoint and Project server products and cloud services.
In other words, you can try out all of the in-progress features of the upcoming Android app, find bugs, and send feedback for what you want to see in the app. At the very least, you'll be able to use Office on your Android device for a few months for free. That is, if you're accepted into the beta program. [via The Verge]
