HP chats about big data issues and challenges in under 4 minutes

A lot of enterprise IT vendors are using the term "Big Data" these days, much in the way they used the term "cloud" a few years ago, as the "next big thing" for IT. Basically, it means that people on the planet are producing a lot of data (tweets, Facebook posts, blogs, videos, etc.), and most of it is unstructured, providing very little value to businesses. But if you could somehow harness this data, kapow!

Anyway, in this video, HP does some nice animations to show a whole bunch of IT statistics, predictions and other numbers that will all end up in PowerPoint presentations over the next year or so. Get a head start and see where the world is heading by watching:
