October 17, 2012, 11:22 AM — If you're really into data centers (and let's be honest, who isn't?), you'll want to spend the few minutes visiting one of Google's data centers (in Lenoir, N.C.) to see rows and rows of servers, blinking lights and yes, cooling towers!
Google today published a video showing off the details of the data center, including a really cool machine that destroys hard drives that have failed.
In true Google fashion, not only can you watch the video, but you can visit the data center at your own leisure, by using Street View.
As is often the case, the Street View cameras can sometimes catch people unaware, as it seems in this photo of a Google employee carrying a bunch of snacks back to her desk.
Google Data Center? More like Google Snack Center, emirate? Also, this being North Carolina, there are a lot of NASCAR-related posters and memorabilia on the walls.
