Here's something you won't find on Apple TV: Porn. Vivid Entertainment, a Los Angeles-based purveyor of adult entertainment, has unveiled Vivid for Google TV, an app that streams sexually explicit content to Google TV set-top devices.

Report: Google asks partners to delay Google TV

Google has reportedly asked LG, Toshiba, and Sharp to hold off from introducing Google TV-based products during next month's Consumer Electronics Show. The search giant appears to have caught stage fright as the dates for the annual trade show -- January 6-9 -- approached. Instead of introducing Google TV as is, the search giant has asked its partners for more time to refine the Web-meets-TV software, according to The New York Times.

Comcast hopes to slay Google TV with Xcalibur

Comcast is testing a new set-top video box code-named Xcalibur that includes DVR capability, robust search capabilities and limited Web access, according to The Wall Street Journal. The new service will let users search for live, on demand and recorded television, offer social networking access, as well as a limited number of online videos. From the sound of it, Comcast is hoping to do what it always does: deliver preselected content to your television with limited user choice.

So it turns out (according to the Wall Street Journal) that Google still hasn't nailed down agreements with the networks for content delivery though Google TV. Without those agreements, is Google TV a safe bet? How about the Boxee Box? Does Boxee have agreements in place?
